This museum was former "Nakaya Pharmacy" which established in 1579.
“Shinise” is a long-lasting store or company. The building itself was built in 1878, and was moved here. It is an attractive house. On the second floor, there is an exhibition of “Shinise over 100 year”. I think people in Kanazawa put more priority on history, just like Kyoto.

Curtains for brides “Hana-yome noren” are exhibited. It is one of the marriage packages brought by a bride, so two crests of her parent’s house are
dyed on top.
It is hung at the entrance of the ancestor’s altar room, the bride
enters the room through the curtain and prays. After that, the wedding ceremony
starts. She uses it only once in her life. It is a custom of Kanazawa region.

Betrothal gifts for a wedding ceremony are shown below. It says “These are gifts of middle-class family in the early 20th century.” It’s too luxurious, so I cannot believe those were gifts from ordinary people.

At “Shinise over 100 year” area, the exhibition of “Kinjohro”, which
is a famous restaurant established in 1890, interested me.

These museums are in the district where samurais lived. It is a popular
tourist spot. Old residences are preserved.
These museums are near “Kourinbou” which is a shopping and entertainment district. Many foreign visitors walk, so it seems like a European city.
