Fun of Good Old Japanese - 江戸・明治に学ぶ　楽しむ生き方

 This museum was former "Nakaya Pharmacy" which established in 1579.   “Shinise” is a long-lasting store or company . The building itself was built in 1878, and was moved here. It is an attractive house. On the second floor, there is an exhibition of “Shinise over 100 year”. I think people in Kanazawa put more priority on history, just like Kyoto. 　薬種商・中谷が 1878 年に建てた店を移築した記念館。建物自体に趣があるが、老舗百年會の展示も面白い。歴史を誇る辺り、やっぱり、金沢は京都と似ている。 Shop area 、店先 Owner’s station 、主人の席 Backside of the shop for everyday life 、店の裏の居間 Curtains for brides “Hana-yome noren” are exhibited. It is one of the marriage packages brought by a bride, so two crests of her parent’s house are dyed on top.  It is hung at the entrance of the ancestor’s altar room, the bride enters the room through the curtain and prays. After that, the wedding ceremony starts. She uses it only once in her life . It is a custom of Kanazawa region. 花嫁のれん が掲げられている。幕末から見られると言うが、嫁入り道具の一つで、実家の家紋が二つ染め抜かれている

“ Traditional Craft Objects for Use － Traditional Beauty, Skills and Spirit － ” is the theme of this museum. The daimyo lord (Maeda clan) promoted to produce aesthetic daily crafts to prosper his territory, Kaga-han. 36 designated traditional crafts (http://www.ishikawa-densankan.jp/english/craft/index.html) are exhibited. These crafts have granted the people fun in using and owning excellent goods. Entrance of the exhibition room 、二階の展示室入り口 The first exhibition room 、第一展示室 「現代のくらしに生きる伝統工芸品ー伝統の美・技・心ー」をテーマにした博物館。加賀・前田家は、京都のように美術的な価値をつけた製品を作ることを生きる道の一つにしたとのこと。加賀友禅など伝統工芸 36 種（ http://www.ishikawa-densankan.jp/craft/index.html ）の実物展示である。人びとの日々の暮らしに彩りを与えてきた品々である。 Clothes、衣を彩る美  At the first area, nifty gadgets and fabrics, such as Kaga embroidery “Kaganui” and Noto linen “Noto-johu”, are exhibited.
