October: Donation for the community center “Ryo”
From the 19th, he walked around neighboring
villages for “Ryo-kange”. I guess it was a campaign to raise funds to repair
the Ryo building. They finished it on the 27th and gathered 400kg of
rice which was equivalent to money at that time. However 400kg of rice wasn't a big donation for them. I think it was an event rather than a serious donation campaign, because they had a party on the 27th in spite of small donation. Mr. Yoshino presented sake (alcohol), the party seemed
to be fun.

November: Visiting Narita Temple even in the rainy day
Two guys left the village early in the morning and went to
Narita which was a two-day trip. It was rainy and windy all day long on the first day. I know the trip was a great fun for them, but I
cannot understand why they pushed through traveling despite the bad weather. Was it a special day of Narita? Or they were accustomed to
rain because they were farmers?

November was off-season for farming but Yoshino was still busy. He paid tax in a form of rice, he was
required to help fix the bank along the river, and he also attended someone’s wedding ceremony.
I cannot find “Hi-machi” party on this diary this year which was held many times last year. However, Ise-daidai-kou performance was held at the night of the 17th.

December: Donation to shrines and temples
He was asked for donation by Koyasan,
Ichigatsuji, Mabashi Nioumon, Seiryuuin, Oyama, and Ise. He had a three-day trip to
Edo. One- or two-day trip was usual for him, maybe he wanted to enjoy the life in Edo.
He prepared for the New Year's Day. Year-end cleaning
on the 8th, mochi rice cake making on the 27th, decorating
the entrance on the 28th. Meanwhile children returned from private school on
the 30th. Then he received gifts from the villagers. That's how the year ended.
