Meihoh history and folklore museum、明宝歴史民俗資料館(岐阜県)

The museum is in central Japan (Gifu prefecture) . It was a school, but it preserves more than 47,000 items including 3,594 designated cultural assets. It is run followed by the policy of the first museum director; (1) preserving old documents and items, (2) encouraging visitors to think life in old days, (3) accepting many visitors. It is realized. Numerous items are orderly exhibited; on the top of that, a guide explains elaborately them. We can understand the lives of the mountainous village well . 明宝は、岐阜県の美濃地方にあった村 で、現在は郡上市です。バイク乗りに人気のせせらぎ街道(郡上八幡~高山市清見町)沿いにある 山間部・川沿いの集落 です。 校舎を利用した資料館は重要文化財 3,594 点を含む 47,000 点余りを所蔵。初代館長・金子氏の願い「 ① 資料、民具を守る  ② 昔の暮らしを考えてもらう  ③ たくさんの人たちに見てもらう」を具現化した展示です。大量の展示品は、管理している( NPO 法人)ふる里めいほうさんによって整然と陳列され、案内人(訪問時は原さん)が丁寧に説明してくれ、 奥美濃の村の暮らしがよく分かります 。   Exhibition hall “Cooking  and Eating” 、「食」の展示室 Many exhibits are packed; some were used for a same purpose like the lunch boxes. Gero Museum of Hot Springs、下呂発 温泉博物館

Gero is one of the three major hot-spring resorts along with Kusatsu and Arima; it is in central Japan (Gifu prefecture). It is written that the rare museum was built to entertain visitors to Gero; it is completely dedicated to hot springs. We can learn not only science of hot spring but also culture and so on. The quality of Gero is very smooth , which deserves the honor of three major hot springs. The town exudes a certain atmosphere as a longstanding hot spring resort. 草津、有馬とともに 三名湯の一つといわれた下呂温泉街(岐阜県) にあります。「温泉旅行をもっと楽しめるようにと造られた、全国でも珍しい温泉専門の博物館」と書かれていて、 温泉の文化から科学まで 学べます。 温泉はつるっとした名湯 、街も古来からの温泉街の雰囲気をもっていました。   The first section “Culture of Hot-spring” shows us various hot spring resorts in Japan. 最初は温泉文化のコーナーです。全国の温泉が紹介されています。 There is a communal bathhouse near the hot spring source in an old-established resort . Residence of Arakawa family in Takayama、荒川家住宅(高山市)

Arakawa family was a hereditary village head in Takayama, central Japan. They were also a leader of six village heads in the area. The main building build in 1796 is designated as a national important cultural asset. It was restored to its old state (more than a hundred years before). They were farmers, but were high-ranking ones. The building is huge. 荒川家は、飛騨と信濃の境・平湯峠から 高山に下る谷筋の六か村をまとめた業帯名主 を務めていました。 1796 年に建てられた母屋は、国の重要文化財に指定され、保存修理工事が行われ、大正期以前の形に復原されました。庶民とはほど遠い身分、そして住宅ですが、私が住んでいる松本から高山に行くときに前を通るので、気になっていて、ついに訪問。巨大な二階建て建物です。 The photo above is a layout (21 meters width and 15 meters long). There is a stable in it. 幅 21 m、奥行き 15 mの広い家です。馬屋(マヤ)もあります。 It’s a  view from the entrance hall .
